Suncreek Garden Chronicles…Tomato Happiness

It’s happy times at Suncreek Garden.  Next to actually havesting and eating our tomato crop this is the most exciting time of the season …The seeds went into the starter pots in early January…the plants have been in the ground for 3 weeks…and we have flowers!  Tomato Flowers!!!

A vegetable garden in the beginning looks so promising and then after all little by little it grows nothing but vegetables, nothing, nothing but vegetables.  Gertrude Stein

A Kiss…A Hug…A Gift

A Kiss of sprinkling rain

On the Leaves of the Trees

Is a Whisper to my Soul…

I am here

The enveloping Hug

Of an Unexpected breeze is

comfort to my Soul…

You are not alone

My soul welcomes

The Kiss and the Hug…

A Gift

The Earth drinks in

the long-awaited Rain…

A Kiss and a Hug

Weekly Photo Challenge…Unusual

This week the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge prompt is…Unusual.

Not only do I find the subject of this picture unusual,  it really creeped me out.  There was a MOUSE  house under the back seat of my car…To think that I may have been driving Micky or Minnie or even Remy or Jerry around in my SUV…well let’s just say that would be extraordinary, odd, peculiar, rare, strange, unaccustomed, uncommon, uncustomary, unique, wierd….and down right UNUSUAL for me.

Suncreek Garden Chronicles…And the Bionic Arm

Suncreek Garden Chronicles…You can’t keep a good man down.  It’s been 5 weeks since Farmer Hubs ripped his bicep from the tendon.  It has been three weeks since he had surgery to reattach the bicep.  It would appear that Farmer Hubs has had his old appendage replaced with a bionic arm.

In the past 5 weeks Farmer Hubs and His Bionic Arm have turned the fall/winter garden over to a spring garden.  With a little help from the Farmers Son and Friends of the Farmer the temporary greenhouse was disassembled.  The remaining fall vegetable plantings were harvested and removed. The garden was tilled and fresh soil added.

Farmer Hubs, The BionicArm and the Farmers Helpers planted; 27 heirloom tomato plants, spring lettuces, cucumbers, sugar snap peas, shallots, onions, potatoes, carrots and a variety of peppers.

A-Z Archive: L! Challenge…Light!

A-Z Archive: L! Challenge…Light Box!  I have been looking forward to sharing these photos with you since the beginning of this challenge.

This week’s topic for our “A-Z Archive” photo challenge: the “L” archive: introduce one photo of your archive with a “L” Keyword. – I’m sure you’ll find a picture: tag with “A-Z Archive” and put a link on your page to FrizzText, so we’ll get a trackback-list including your post!

These photographs were taken with my iphone…I really had no other option.  Photographs in the museum are forbidden.  However, I could not pass up the opportunity to capture the feeling of standing in a rainbow. I know…iphone photos…don’t be a hater!

This is part of a Carlos Cruz-Diez art exhibit.  If you can believe this is a completely white room…there are light boxes positioned through out the rooms.  As you move through the rooms the color in the room changes…the color of the room is dependent on your position to the light box and the angle of the room and the bending and blending of the light

I originally posted this slideshow in a post last March called Standing in a Rainbow.  I hope you enjoy the show!
