Hey Ya’ll, it’s Spring in Texas

Yes!  Spring is here!  I can hardly believe the colors and the new growth that have literally sprung up over night.  I am amazed at the beauty and surprise of nature.  The deep sleep of winter is not really sleep at all.  There is an incredible amount of growth happening “behind the scenes”.  Here is what has happened in my yard in the past 2 weeks.  It’s amazing ya’ll!!!

  1. Lovely! I wish I had a green thumb. I LOVE flowers and this time of year ❤

  2. I love the spring. The wild flowers from January onwards are beautiful. My Gazania daisys are also in full bloom along with many of my cacti and succulents!
Downside…the insects also come alive and multiply 🙂

    Great photos…

    • I can hear the slugs munching away, safely sequestered among dead leaves and other debris left over from Fall. Didn’t do such a great job of cleaning up then.

      oh well…hugmamma.

  3. Hi Jeanne, Love the photos and your garden.

Everything is still snow covered here so it will be a while before we see any colour in our gardens. And even then we have to rely on the perennials because last frost for us isn’t until May sometime for planting the annuals.

I’m thankful that Pansies are frost hardy and can be planted earlier in April. 🙂

  4. Gorgeous! Happy Spring and lucky you – we still have 6-8 weeks before it starts to look like that here!
Beautiful yard and very nice work!
    Debbie 🙂

  5. Gorgeous photos. You are having an early spring compared to much of the country.

Peace on what has been a challenging day for much of the world.

    • I second that. We are in much need of peace with one another, and with our environment. God bless all those who are suffering.

hugs for better, more JOYful days…hugmamma.

  6. Gorgeous!!! Wish I were there in person to enjoy spring and admire your lovely garden. You make me want to get out there and plant. Yeah…I don’t think so. Still pretty cool, and dreary here in Washington. But one of these days, hopefully soon.

hugs for all your well wishes…hugmamma. 😉

  7. As we face the colors and smells of fall it is nice to be reminded of the beauty of spring. Here for two week blog hop!
