Yard Art…

We recently purchased the two acres of property next to our home.  Our plans for this additional land is to create a beautiful green space with walking paths and sitting areas.  The property was so heavily overgrown that it was nearly impossible to see more than a few feet in either direction of the path that my husband cut through the woods.

This will be a life long project but the first step in the process was to clear the under brush and the trash trees.  Once the clearing was completed, it allowed me the opportunity to wander through the property and take in the beauty of nature.  I like to think of my discoveries as Yard Art.

…This is the trunk on an almost petrified tree…This will become a focal point in a sitting area that I have planned for the center of the property.

  1. How exciting on your purchase of two acres right next to your home!
That old tree with it’s numerous knots looks fascinating and I’m glad you are keeping it and making it a focal point where you can sit out – the tree will be a great subject for discussion. The photo of the spider’s web looks pretty good to me Jeanne, so beautiful and intricate.
What a project ahead for you and the hub, but I know it will be a labour of love.

  2. Love those first two photos of the petrified tree. Have fun creating your 2 acre oasis.
