Welcome to Junque Rescuers LLC. We are a vintage and vintage inspired home decor boutique. We are located in a small south Texas town on the Gulf Coast. Our storefront is located in the heart of downtown Lake Jackson, Texas
Junque Rescuers LLC is a Premiere retailer of Dixie Belle Paint products. What does that mean, you ask? It means that we carry approximately 90% of all the products offered by Dixie Belle Paint Company. In time we hope to carry the full line…
Today’s Daily Dose of Dixie Belle Paint is brought to you by the color… French Linen
I have been looking forward to making these for weeks.
Somehow Rice Krispie treats cut into heart shapes and dipped in white chocolate scream “I love you!”
I called our son and asked if wanted to come over and help me make Valentine treats. When he told me his girlfriend loves rice krispie treats, I knew he would be here.
I gathered all of the ingredients;
1 Box of Rice Krispie Cereal
1 Pkg of Miniature Marshmallows
Heart Shaped Cookie Cutters
Cello Treat Bags
I called him at least twice to confirm we were still on…I’m not exactly sure why I was so excited about making these simple treats…I think it may have had something to do with the fact that I have never made rice krispie treats in my life.
The heart-shaped treats were cut out, dipped in white chocolate, placed in cello bags and sweet Valentine love notes placed on each one. I hope his girlfriend enjoys getting them as much as we enjoyed making them…
Maybe you are like me and you need a little help putting away your Christmas decorations…Every year I tell myself, “Self…this is the year we are going to organize the Christmas decorations as we put them away”…I also have had grand visions of actually putting the containers away in a manner that allows me to easily access the things I need first, then second…you get the idea. Year after year I have grand plans but no real plan in place.
Making things merry and bright….with a Pinterest inspired project!
A Christmas printable and a flower arrangement made with mini marshmallows, Christmas Tree and Snowman peeps and a Christmas bouquet from the floral department at the grocery store….you just gotta love Pinterest DIY projects!
Pinterest Pick of the Week is a such a beautiful and original idea! As soon as I saw this pin on Pinterest I fell in love…
The Fishbowl Snowman!
Pinterest is a bit of a mystery…I think it’s like 6 degrees of separation…Six degrees of separation is the idea that everyone is approximately six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world, so that a chain of “a friend of a friend” statements can be made, on average, to connect any two people in six steps.
On Pinterest I followed someone who had followed someone who had followed someone who pinned a pin from Sassy Trash Antiques…it then showed up on my wall and I pinned it! And the rest is Pinterest history.…
Then I followed the link to the original blogSassytrash Antiques and Designs and read about Martha the creator of the fishbowl snowman. I then jumped over to check out Sassytrash’s Pinterestpage and found a kindred spirit.
They say that copying someone is a form of flattery…Well, I will be flattering Martha when I make my very own fishbowl snowman! I hope if Sassytrash visits my blog she will leave me more info on Martha and how I can follow her on Pinterest...
Every once in a while you stumble across a great idea…..and ever since Pinterest showed up those great ideas are easier to stumble across and share.
While surfing Pinterest I stumbled upon a Pin from the blog Cowboys and Cadillacs…inspirational framed shopping bags…which is a post about other bloggers who have embraced the idea of framing unique or treasured shopping bags. Maybe the shopping bag is from a special vacation or came baring a special gift. Maybe the bag came from Tiffany’s, Chanel, Gucci or Prada!
I particularly like this idea because I love the nice bags that you get when you shop at certain stores. I typically hold onto the bags and use them for different things. The larger bags will be used for carrying clothes to the dry cleaners. I will use the smaller bags to carry my lunch. But I always use them with some reluctancy…I really would rather keep them. And now I can…as soon as collect a few fav’s!
I purchased two chairs on the last day of an Estate Sale…The minute I saw them I knew what I would do with them.
Then I hit a snag…finding the time to do a seemingly simple project.
My biggest dilemma was whether or not to paint the chairs…painting a chair is not as easy as it sounds…there are nooks, crannies, spindles and carved legs to deal with…and truth be told my attention span is more suited to painting a box.
This morning I made the decision to move forward with the project…no paint, just recover the seat cushions.
